This trek offers stunning Himalayan landscapes, diverse flora and fauna, and rich cultural experiences as you pass through traditional Rai, Limbu, and Tibetan villages. The remote and untouched trails make it an ideal choice for trekkers seeking solitude and pure wilderness.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Free time to explore Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur & Drive to Taplejung (1,820m) – 8-9 Hours

Morning flight to Bhadrapur and scenic drive to Taplejung, the starting point of the trek. Overnight in Taplejung.

Day 3: Trek from Taplejung to Chirwa (1,270m) – 6-7 Hours

Start trekking through lush forests, terraced fields, and traditional Limbu villages. Reach Chirwa, a small settlement along the Tamor River. Overnight in Chirwa.

Day 4: Trek from Chirwa to Sekathum (1,660m) – 5-6 Hours

Walk through dense forests and cross suspension bridges over the Tamor River. Reach Sekathum, where you will get the first glimpse of the high Himalayas. Overnight in Sekathum.

Day 5: Trek from Sekathum to Amjilosa (2,510m) – 5-6 Hours

The trail passes through steep climbs and forests of bamboo and rhododendron. Amjilosa is a small Tibetan village offering scenic mountain views. Overnight in Amjilosa.

Day 6: Trek from Amjilosa to Gyabla (2,730m) – 4-5 Hours

A relatively short but steep climb through dense pine forests leads to Gyabla, a peaceful settlement surrounded by alpine landscapes. Overnight in Gyabla.

Day 7: Trek from Gyabla to Ghunsa (3,595m) – 5-6 Hours

Trek through yak pastures and cross beautiful waterfalls to reach Ghunsa, the largest settlement in the region. Ghunsa is a Tibetan village with a monastery and stunning mountain views. Overnight in Ghunsa.

Day 8: Acclimatization Day at Ghunsa

A rest day to acclimatize. Explore Ghunsa, visit the monastery, or take a short hike for better acclimatization. Overnight in Ghunsa.

Day 9: Trek from Ghunsa to Kambachen (4,050m) – 5-6 Hours

Trek through rocky terrain with stunning views of Jannu Himal and Kanchenjunga. Kambachen is a remote settlement surrounded by high mountains. Overnight in Kambachen.

Day 10: Trek from Kambachen to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp (Pangpema) (5,143m) – 6-7 Hours

Trek to the highest point of the trek, Kanchenjunga North Base Camp, offering breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga massif. After exploring the base camp, descend to Lhonak (4,780m) for an overnight stay.

Day 11: Trek from Lhonak to Ghunsa – 6-7 Hours

Descend back through the rugged terrain to Ghunsa, retracing the trail. Overnight in Ghunsa.

Day 12: Trek from Ghunsa to Amjilosa – 6-7 Hours

A long descent through forests and small settlements to Amjilosa. Overnight in Amjilosa.

Day 13: Trek from Amjilosa to Taplejung – 6-7 Hours

Trek back to Taplejung via Chirwa, completing the circuit. Overnight in Taplejung.

Day 14: Drive from Taplejung to Bhadrapur & Flight to Kathmandu

A scenic drive to Bhadrapur followed by a flight back to Kathmandu. Free time in Kathmandu for rest or shopping. Overnight in Kathmandu.
